Q: How do I know that counselling & psychotherapy is right for me?

Many people come to counselling in response to life changes such as job changes, job loss and erosion of lifestyle, relationship difficulty and bereavement.  It can help you get the most out of your life.  Even if you feel your problems are small you will benefit from this supportive form of therapy.

Q: What happens in the therapy session?

The therapy session will involve you and me sitting in a comfortable room and talking.

Q: How do I go about arranging a session?

Simply phone 01 2951095, or phone or text 086 3298395 or email bernadette@theraydublin.ie for an appointment.  Appointments are held Monday to Friday.  Early morning or evening appointments are also available.

Q: How long is a session?

One to one sessions last 50 minutes to 1 hour and a couples session lasts up to just over 1 hour.

Q: What does a session cost?

One to one sessions cost €60 and couples sessions cost €70.

Q: How many sessions will I need?

This will be discussed at our first session and will vary depending on the issues.  Some issues can be resolved in six sessions.

Q: How often would I need to attend sessions?

Sessions are usually held weekly to give the best chance of success and to establish new patterns of interaction.  It is up to you if you continue sessions and you are free to stop at any time.
